Music Program

General Music Information

At GAMP, students can participate in ensembles in both the vocal and instrumental departments to become well-rounded musicians.

  • Mandatory Concerts: Attendance at the annual Winter and Spring concerts is required. An unexcused absence results in a failing grade for that marking period (2nd or 4th).
  • PMEA Opportunities: Students may audition for the PMEA District 12 chorus, band, or orchestra.

Vocal Music

ALL GAMP students participate in choir to develop fundamental musicianship and ensemble skills. The curriculum covers diverse genres, including Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Broadway.

Concert Choir (Grades 9–12)
The Concert Choir is a select, audition-based ensemble performing collegiate-level repertoire at high-profile venues and workshops across the metropolitan area.

  • Requirements: Selection is based on vocal ability and dependability. Members must maintain passing grades in all academic subjects to participate in daytime performances.
  • Highlights: Annual participation in the All-City Music Festival at the Kimmel Center, mayoral inaugurations, and collaborations with local university music departments.
  • Vocal Directors: Ms. Lindsey Carney, Ms. Dominique DeSilva, Mr. Sebastian Santiago-Rivas, and Mr. Cameron Stringham.

Instrumental Music

The Instrumental Music Department focuses on developing individual talent across diverse musical styles. Students receive one weekly group lesson and can audition for the annual All-City Music Festival.
